Am I Smarter or...?
============
One day, while chatting on Line with a friend, she asked me: "What is life like?"
Since I'm an English gentleman, I said, "ladies first".
My Friend's Answer:
----------------------------
"Life is like kaleidoscope [萬花筒]. People can enjoy the photos leisurely. People also can think how to mix colors to create beautiful photos.
"When people play it, they may find a special photo by accident. This part is the most interesting that I like."
It's a great answer, and here's mine:
My Answer:
-----------------
"Forrest Gump says life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you can get however I think life is like an amusement park:
"Some rides are:
"- gentle
"- exciting
"- scary
"To enjoy the amusement park the fullest, you need to go on all the rides.
"No matter how wet, sick or scared you feel, just get in line for the next ride and wonderful experience.
"There's a lot of food at the park: hot dogs, ice cream and popcorn. It's convenient, but very unhealthy. So to eat more healthily, you need to prepare your own food. In life, to be successful you cannot rely on conveniences around you; you need to prepare for yourself.
"At the amusement park, the best rides have the longest queues, just like in life; the best things in life are worth waiting for.
"So I think life is like an amusement park for three reasons:
"- you need to go on all the rides to enjoy life the most
"- make your own preparations to be successful
"- the best things in life are worth waiting for"
Conclusion:
----------------
Both a kaleidoscope [萬花筒] & amusement parks are great answers.
However, my answer is:
- more detailed
- more complete
- more memorable
How can I answer a question so well?
So quickly?
Is this a natural talent?
Nope!
Being able to answer a question more wholly and is a learned skill.
Where did I learn this skill? Toastmasters
